E' morto Patrick Swayze
Protagonista di "Ghost" aveva 57 anni
L'attore Patrick Swayze, indimenticabile protagonista di film come "Ghost" e "Dirty Dancing", è morto all'età di 57 anni dopo una lunga lotta contro il cancro al pancreas. Swayze era stato informato della malattia nel gennaio 2008, e dopo un ciclo di chemioterapia la sua salute era migliorata, tanto che aveva ricominciato a lavorare nella serie televisiva "The Beast". Ma all'inizio del 2009 le sue condizioni si erano di nuovo aggravate.
La notizia della terribile malattia che ha colpito l'attore texano era stata diffusa poco più di un anno fa, all'inizio del 2008. E' stato un tumore al pancreas, che si è esteso anche al fegato, dunque a uccidere l'attore che, da quando ha saputo di avere questo male incurabile, non ha mai smesso di lottare, tra terapie, ricoveri in ospedale, tentativi di riabilitazione. In particolare, si è sottposto a lunghe cure e trattamenti al Centro medico dell'Università di Stanford, e al Centro tumori di Palo Alto in California. Ma non ha mai abbandonato il set e le sue passioni: si sa che alleva cavlli arabi, e il più bello è uno stallone arabo bruno di nome Tammen. Lui stesso, pochi mesi prima di morire, in una delle ultime interviste aveva rilasciato una dichiarazione che testimoniava tutta la grande voglia di continuare a vivere e andare avanti nonostante tutto. "Se potessi sopravvivere altri cinque anni sarei un uomo contento. Più realisticamente, penso di non avere più di due anni di vita davanti a me. Ma c'è ancora molto altro che voglio fare. E nel frattempo continuerò a combattere fino a quando la medicina non troverà una cura alla mia malattia".

A noi farfalline e sopratutto alle donne di tutto il mondo ha fatto sognare ad occhi aperti con Dirty Dancing interpretando il personaggio del sensuale ballerino Johnny Castle che s'innamora della piccola Baby...Non potevamo non omaggiarlo con questo post...
